Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ) has adopted the production and dissemination of knowledge as a fundamental mission. In line with this mission, the Scientific Journals Office (BİDEK) was established by the University Senate's decision No. 2025.32.141 dated October 1, 2025. Its purpose is to improve the publication quality and processes of all scientific journals published within the University, adhering to scientific and ethical principles within a common publication strategy, and to ensure their acceptance by top-tier national and international indexes.
BİDEK undertakes a coordination role to increase the effectiveness of our University journals on national and international platforms, assist in publication processes, and ensure that our academic outputs are shared more strongly with the global scientific community.
BİDEK is not only an oversight unit but also a strategic support and coordination mechanism for the development of our scientific journals. By actively participating in areas such as promoting our journals, increasing their visibility, and developing international collaborations, we aim to effectively represent the University's scientific output worldwide. Our Coordination Office plans to build a publication ecosystem where information flows freely, quality is prioritized, and the scientific potential of our university is utilized to the highest degree.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that the publication processes of all scientific journals within our university are carried out in a harmonious, standardized, and sustainable manner; and to contribute to our journals achieving the highest ethical and academic standards in scientific publishing. In this regard, developing a transparent, reliable, and high-quality publishing ecosystem committed to publication ethics principles is our fundamental responsibility.
Within the framework of this mission:
- Developing strategies to improve the publication quality of journals, supporting their implementation, and encouraging continuous improvement;
- Determining the necessary procedures, principles, and processes for journals to be indexed in national and international indexes such as Web of Science, Scopus, and TR Dizin, and supporting these processes;
- Providing guidance, training, seminars, and consultancy to editors on publication policies, publication ethics, peer review processes, and journal management;
- Evaluating new journal establishment applications; Regularly monitoring and evaluating the publication continuity, performance, and compliance with ethical principles of existing journals is among our core responsibilities.

By creating a structure fully compliant with global academic publishing standards, we aim to position our journals as reliable and leading platforms for high-quality scientific knowledge; thus, raising our university's academic reputation to the highest level on an international scale.
